Libby's Class 2025 - 2026

The summer term is already buzzing with excitement in Libby’s Class, and we have lots of fantastic learning opportunities keeping us very busy! Alongside our daily classroom learning, the children are enjoying Forest School sessions, practising hard for the school production and Little Voices, and we are all looking forward to our upcoming school trip. There’s plenty to smile about and lots of chances for teamwork, creativity and confidence-building across school.

In English, we are exploring the world of poetry, with a special focus on Haiku poems and play scripts. The children will be reading, performing and creating their own haikus, learning how powerful language can be when we choose just the right words. We will be learning new vocabulary and sharing our voices!

Our geography learning links perfectly to the wider world as we explore “What’s in the News?”. This term, we are focusing on water conservation and pollution, learning why water is such a precious resource and how pollution can affect our local area.

In science, our topic is Electricity, and the classroom has been full of excitement and discovery! The children are learning to identify and name the components of an electrical circuit, understand and describe the function of a switch and investigate conductors and insulator.

Come back soon to see all the amazing things we get up too!
