Hello and a very warm welcome to Courtney’s Class. 
We hope you’ve all had a lovely break and are ready for the new Autumn term. 
In Courtney’s Class this term our topic will be ‘Me and My Shadow and Time to Celebrate’. This nicely ties in to our English where we will be reading ‘Christopher Pumpkin’, ‘Day and Night Monkey’ and ‘Kevin the Carrot and the Christmas Beanstalk’. Here we will be exploring celebrations such as Halloween, Bonfire night, Diwali and Christmas! In Science we will focusing on light, here we will be exploring where light comes from, recognise that we need light in order to see things and that the dark is the absence of light. In PSHE we will be concentrating on Self-care, Support and Safety, here we will be looking at Trust, Keeping safe online and what Public and Private means. In Maths, we will be measuring, practicing our number sense and beginning to learn about time. On top of all that, we will be looking at how we move our bodies and choreographing this into a dance in PE.
