Lancashire Classics!

Jenny’s Class have thoroughly enjoyed their Food Technology topic this half term, ‘Lancashire Classics’. We have explored and tried a range of traditional dishes including jam roly-poly, cheese pie, apple crumble and Lancashire hot pot and the children rated each one to decide their favourites.

We have especially loved making and then tasting some of the dishes ourselves - they were delicious. So far, we have made jam roly-poly and cheese pasties, and during Forest School we even made apple crumble, which we enjoyed with warm custard. It has been a fantastic way for the children to experience and celebrate some classic Lancashire foods.
