Fractions

In Maths this term, we had a week learning all about fractions. We started by focusing on 'halves' and how the variety in which they can be represented.  The class demonstrated their learning by halving shapes during some outdoor learning (it didn’t rain for once!). We reinforced this by carefully cutting our fruit in to two equal parts at snack times throughout the week!
Our favourite on halves was definitely our potions activity! The children had to follow the secret recipe to find the special formula; they created two HALF potions (one blue half potion and one yellow half potion) which, when added together, made a one WHOLE green potion!
