Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day honours the heroic efforts, achievements and sacrifices that were made in past wars and also marks the day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, in 1918.

It was a little different for us at Holly Grove this year due to Covid restrictions. We couldn’t sell poppies around campus but instead we made our own poppies and stuck them on our classroom doors. We held a 2 minutes silence at 11am and we talked about why we remember these soldiers and why we wear poppies.
