Holly Grove School would like to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and committed TA2 to work with our younger pupils in lower school who have a wide range of learning difficulties, including autism, complex medical needs and severe / moderate learning difficulties, children with communication difficulties.

GOVERNOR VACANCIES

We currently have a 2 vacancies and are seeking applications from an enthusiastic and committed person to join the governing board.  In particular, we are looking for someone with a background in finance.

The core functions of the governing board are:

• Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.
• Holding senior leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation, its pupils, and the performance management of staff.

• Overseeing the financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent.

 

The term of office for all governors is four years.

 

Governors are welcomed as valued members of the team and play a vital role in supporting the Headteacher and the school to promote high standards, ensure that all pupils receive a high quality education and strategically develop the school.

Governors currently meet as a board three times a year and meetings usually start at 12.00 noon with lunch and are finished around 3.00pm. All meetings are held at the school but are also accessible over teams

Governors are occasionally required to visit the school during the day for monitoring visits and are encouraged to support school events, where possible.

We offer new governors a comprehensive and supportive induction, and training for the role is also available.
