I hope you are all keeping safe and well. The weather is set to improve again this week which always makes us feel so much better. We have been working hard on the class list for September and you will receive a letter in the next 2 weeks, telling you which class your child will be in, in September.
I just wanted to reassure you all that we will do everything in our power to ensure the transition for your child back into school will go as smoothly as possible. Key workers are currently writing up plans to be shared with new staff teams, (this includes all those little things they have learnt about your child , e.g. doesn’t like milk, likes to use a red cup, likes to go outside first thing in the morning etc.) The first term will focus on your child’s well-being and settling them into new routines and structures. It is an anxious time as some of your children have been out school for a long time. We will be working hard to settle the children as quickly as possible and then we will look at how we can support each child to achieve their targets and if necessary we will be putting small intervention groups in place to help them catch up.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch and we will do all we can to help and reassure you.
Enjoy the sunshine
