World Book Day

Today we celebrated World Book Day and the theme was ‘Myths and Legends.’ Classes shared their favourite stories with their friends and other classes and we had a big book reading session in the morning. The children took part in lots of activities throughout the day including a ‘Dragon’s Egg Hunt.’

We were also very fortunate to have Pendle Productions in school performing ‘The Dragon who lost his Voice.’

At the end of the day, the children took home a free book token to exchange in book shops in their local area. The children also took home a ‘Reading Record’ competition to try and do the ‘Share a Million Stories’ reading challenge.

Well done everyone for dressing up. The prize for the best costume went to Grace in Class 1 for dressing as Hermione from Harry Potter. Well done Grace!
