Outdoor Classroom Day

Playing and learning outdoors is fundamental to children’s health, wellbeing and development, so today, Holly Grove, as well as thousands of schools across the country took part by holding their lessons outside.

Samantha and the Eco Council put together lots of fun activities for everyone to do outside. This included painting with frozen berries and using chopped up fruit as paint stamps, making fairy soup using flowers petals from the garden, threading recycled bottle tops to make a sensory curtain, tepee making, a bug survey, outdoor storytelling, using the mud kitchen to make mud pies and casseroles and some pupils even took part in making a herb garden from recycled milk bottles.

From our pictures you can see how much fun all our children had.
